Business Development Manager
Weba Chutes, a leader in custom-engineered transfer point solutions, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This senior position reports directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for driving new business revenue, acquiring and expanding client accounts, and contributing to Weba’s overall growth in the mining and bulk material handling industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales and business development plan to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
- Present tailored transfer point solutions that enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce costs for customers.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent tracking, forecasting, and achievement of sales targets.
- Lead high-value negotiations and deal structuring, optimizing partnerships and closing significant business deals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to position Weba as a leading solution provider.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, and project management) to ensure seamless execution of client solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is essential (Technical and Business preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a related role within mining, bulk material handling, or industrial engineering.
- Strong technical sales acumen with the ability to articulate the value of Weba’s solutions.
- Proficiency in business technology, IT systems, and CRM tools.
- Excellent computer literacy with experience in data management and reporting.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- A valid passport for international business travel as required.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
